The spirit of bamboo

Our China has a long periods of bamboo culture.All chinese,no matter ancient saints or the folks,love bamboos!Bamboo is one of the “three friends in cold”.And it has the character and spirit of chinese!Even thousands of years can see the pursuit of this kind of spirit.

At first,he is upright modest and elegant.As we see the bamboo we can think of the description of “zhong tong wai zhi,bu man bu zhi”written by Tao Yuan-ming,which well summarize the shape of bamboo and showing a sense of indomitability.This is showed by his biological characteristic.Then,he does not make excessive demands of the environment,nor showing off himself,but contribute his greenery to the world and to us silently.He has no flowery appearance,and the flowery appearance is no so attractive than him;he has no colorful array,but is whole-colored .Beside the gurgling brook,by the side of the short housing wall, standing by the tall fruit trees,along the desolate field,everywhere can see his roots.In addition,he adheres to the principle with an unremitting tenacity and generosity!No matter where he stands,he can survive from the harsh condition with perseverance and bears the endless solitude.He does not complain about the heavy snow and grow up as the rising sun;he does not stuck by the thick soil,once the top goes through the soil,he grow all the way to the sky.

For often,Bamboo makes us recall the image of seclusioners ,because its fresh and elegance just like the saints who does not like the blatant place but the privacy and nature to cultivate his sentiments,to improve himself and to make great contribution to the world.
